Wheel sensors are inductively acting sensors which detect the metal mass of the wheel flange to generate electrical impulses. Depending on the application a distinction is made between single wheel sensors for rolling stock detection and switching tasks as well as double wheel sensors for direction detection, axle counting, and speed measurement.
The electronic double wheel sensor, manufactured today by Pintsch Tiefenbach, ensures safe operation and is robust with a long service life. It is the basis for our complete system solutions for the rail, transit and other market applications.
The 2100-603 Tiefenbach Adjustment Tool (optional) is used for fine-tuning sensor sensitivity.
